- MiLL
At the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, WSD3 and The MiLL, partnered with the Colorado Springs Fire Department, to build four structures which would be used to demonstrate the differences in building materials which are used in construction within the Wildland Urban Interface. The four buildings used a variety of building materials from standard construction materials to those deemed ignition resistant and all four will be set on fire to help demonstrate how different construction materials react to fire. This has been a great learning experience for all involved and The Mill was honored to be a part of it.
